The Human Hunters.

Sam and I had seemed to be rounded up, like horses with the survivors of the attack. I looked around see lights and shadows moving through the trees in the forest, I thought what kind of species could have develop this technology.

Then the creature came up to the camp with guns and a gas mask. As soon as the creature was spotted all of the remaining humans ran off like a herd of gazelle getting chased by a lion pack.

Me and Sam figured that it would be more safe if we split up from the humans if we did not we would just be a bigger target. I could not run any faster or further, but Sam being on the track team, and riding his bike a mile just to get to track, made him the alpha at speed. Couldn't take it any more I had to take a brake. I shouted I need a break, I sat down onto a mossy and moldy log, I looked back and there were all the humans cuffed.
Then I saw three of the creatures  look at us and then ran over to there mortar cycle and chased us. At first I was ready to mock them but when I saw them get there mortar cycles I decided to skip that part and run.

I looked at the small stump beside me and Sam was gone. I looked around but I only heard the crinkling of leaves to the right of me so I jumped into the spiky bushes to hide and used a rock to distract them by throwing it over towards the path, making them think it was me. I heard something move I turned my head and I saw Sam and one of the creatures with a large knife up to Sams neck.

I knew at that moment I was going to be the last human left on earth.  I wasn't going to stick around to see that happen.  I lunged out of the bushes, adrenaline powering past my fear.  The creature turned and I saw Sam fall to the ground, another victim of the creatures.  My hand drew back, ready to throw a sharp rock at the creature, determined to make it pay for doing that to my friend.  The creature removed it's mask and I saw what they really were.  I knew what we could do to defeat them, I knew the answer to survive.  Then a felt a cold shiver touch my heart.  Behind another creature had struck me with his knife.  I felt the rock fall from my hand, I felt myself falling, I felt my life draining from me.  Darkness clouded my eyes, and I felt no more fear, but peace and finally silence.
